Celebrate Valentine's Day at work with a heartfelt lanyard.

Many of us work in fields where we don’t get much of a chance to show of our personal creativity. The corporate world demands that we appear professional at all times, and doesn’t leave much room for us to have a little fun. So when the holidays roll around, it can be a little depressing when none of us get to show off our childish side by dressing up for the occasion.
The next time a holiday pops up, considering trading in your boring, ugly lanyard for something a little more interesting. For instance, you could celebrate Valentine’s Day at work with a heartfelt lanyard. Find a brightly colored lanyard with hearts, or something that shows off the love you feel on Valentine’s Day, and get into the holiday spirit without losing the professional appearance that you need to keep up with while at work.
Get your co-workers in on the holiday fun as well. Try making your own Valentine’s Day lanyards out of brightly colored red, pink, and white beads. String them together with funky heart shaped beads, and hook some clips on the end to create some cute lanyards for your identification badges. Make some extra lanyards to pass out to your co-workers so they can participate in the fun as well. Or, gather your work friends up and get to work together making some interesting lanyards to show off for Valentine’s Day, and give them a chance to show their personal styles off as well.
If you’re feeling extra daring, you might even consider getting a Valentine’s Day lanyard for your supervisor or boss. Show them that they can get in on the fun without being unprofessional. Lighten the mood by bringing in some other fun things to share with your friends for Valentine’s Day that match your heartfelt lanyards, like funky pens or homemade cupcakes.
Share the love by showing off your style for other holidays as well. If your Valentine’s Day lanyards turn out to be a hit - and you know they will - you may want to adopt a tradition of bringing in holiday lanyards for every occasion. Wear a green one for St. Patrick’s Day, or string together some Easter egg beads to celebrate Easter. You can get really crazy with the idea and make work a little more interesting for everybody. Just wait until your co-workers start counting the days down until another holiday so they get to see what kind of fun lanyard you come up with next!
Even if your workplace frowns on dressing up for seasonal fun, lanyards can give you the opportunity to show off your creativity and spread a little cheer around the holidays. You may start with your lanyards covered in pink and red hearts, and find you have given birth to a whole new tradition in your office. Think of how much fun you can have with your holiday lanyards, and maybe work won’t be so dull and boring anymore. You can find more information at http://www.boojeebeads.com.
